PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an SN ratio while preventing large increase in power consumption when white balance correction control is performed by using physical elements.SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus comprises: a plurality of image sensors 105 to 107 which receive light in mutually different wavelength bands, and output image signals; a plurality of physical elements 102 to 104 each of which is disposed at a front surface of each of the plurality of image sensors, and can be controlled individually so as to have any of a plurality of predetermined discrete light transmittances; a WB digital gain circuit 112 which performs white balance correction by applying gains to the plurality of image signals outputted from the plurality of image sensors; and control means 115, 116 and 108. The control means converts each of the gains into a gain when the light transmittances of the plurality of physical elements satisfy a predetermined reference. Then the control means controls the plurality of physical elements so that the larger the converted gains are, the higher the light transmittances, among the plurality of light transmittances, the plurality of physical elements have. |
