PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an accurate movement amount even in a case where a shock caused by a moving section such as a shutter occurs.SOLUTION: A shake amount detection device performs: rotation radius calculation processing for calculating a rotation radius from an angular velocity and a speed change produced by time-integrating acceleration; speed calculation processing for calculating a speed on the basis of the angular velocity and the rotation radius calculated before starting exposure for a predetermined period after the start of exposure and, for after elapsing a predetermined period, calculating a speed by cumulatively adding acceleration calculated during a predetermined period; and movement amount calculation processing for calculating a movement amount by time-integrating the speed calculated in the speed calculation processing.
