A method and system for prompt of a signal coverage hole in advance are applied to a mobile terminal. The method comprises: locating a mobile terminal, and obtaining information about a current location of the mobile terminal; determining distances between the current position of mobile terminal and positions of coverage hole boundary points that are recorded in a coverage hole list; and when one or more of the distances are smaller than or equal to a preset first coverage hole distance threshold, sending to a user a prompt indicating that the user is approaching a coverage hole. |
