Provided is a head-mounted display optical assembly (LS), comprising an optical deflection element (M1), a first lens group (G1), a second lens group (G2), and an optical reflection element (M2). The head-mounted display optical assembly (LS) is configured such that, in response to a change from the optical deflection element (M1) in a progress direction of light from a light source, light which is reflected with a reflecting face (M2r) of the optical reflection element (M2) and reaches a rendering face (I) which is estimated to be located in a retina when the head-mounted display is equipped moves upon the rendering face (I), and an image is rendered upon the rendering face (I). The first lens group (G1) further comprises a free surface lens having a free surface which is rotationally asymmetric with respect to a reference axis. The reflecting face (M2r) of the optical reflection element (M2) is formed rotationally asymmetrically with respect to the reference axis. |
