<p>Provided are a stimulus-responsive compound and a deformable material which can be greatly displaced with low voltage, and an actuator using the same. This stimulus-responsive compound comprises a pair of polysiloxane chains, a crosslinking part which crosslinks the pair of polysiloxane chains, and a liquid crystal part which binds to the polysiloxane chain. The crosslinking part includes a bonding which functions as an axis of rotation, and includes a unit A which has a first group that is positioned on one end of the bonding and a second group that is positioned on the other end of the bonding, a first unit B which is disposed on a first binding site of the first group, a second unit B which is disposed on a first binding site of the second group, a first unit C, and a second unit C. The first unit C binds to one of the pair of polysiloxane chains, the second unit C binds to the other of the pair of polysiloxane chains, and the first unit B binds to the second unit B by a reduction reaction.</p> |
