The miniature-tournament-playing machine has multiple pawns (3,4) movable on a playing field. Each pawn is assigned to each competing playing parties. Each pawn of each party is coupled with an operating element such that its position follows the movement of the relevant operating element, while its orientation is adjusted freely in the space. The operating element of the playing party is movable within a plane on a level in the lower area of the pawns while the operating element of the other party is movable within a plane on a level in the upper area of the pawns.
