The present invention relates to a cover for protecting a vernier caliper to measure the length of an object using a relatively moving main scale and an outer diameter jaw (7) and an inner diameter jaw (9) of a vernier scale (5). The cover comprises: a first body (100) having a first pocket arranged on one side to cover and protect the inner diameter jaw (9); a second body (200) coupled to the first body (100) to be linearly movable and having a second pocket (220) to surround and protect the outer diameter jaw (7); and an elastic member (300) arranged between the first body (100) and the second body (200) to apply elasticity toward a direction where the first pocket and the second pocket (220) are close to each other. The present invention can prevent damage to the outer diameter jaw (7), the inner diameter jaw (9), and injuries to users who use the vernier caliper by protecting the sharp outer diameter jaw (7) and inner diameter jaw (9) of the vernier caliper using a cover.
