<p>Compsn. for the treatment of seborrhoea and acne contain (a) a sugar S-alkyl mercaptal as in FR 3854 esp. d-glucose ethylene mercaptal, and (b) an antibiotic suitable for topical application. In a example a cream was prepd. contng. 4g d-glucose ethylene mercaptal and 0.5g neomycin sulphate per 100g. This was effective in treating cases of acne and seborrheic eczema by topical application 1 or 2 times per day for 15-30 days.</p> |
