PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately evaluate wear performance of a shoulder rib.SOLUTION: There is provided a simulation method for a tire for evaluating the wear performance of a tire formed of a shoulder rib 15. The simulation method includes: a simulation step S4 in which a computer 1 calculates the wear energy of each tread element 33 constituting a tread of a shoulder rib model 28; and an evaluation step S5 of evaluating the wear performance of the shoulder rib 15 on the basis of the result of the step S4. The evaluation step S5 evaluates the wear performance of the shoulder rib 15, based on the wear energy when the shoulder rib model 28 freely rolls and the wear energy when the shoulder rib model 28 is braked. |
