PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector capable of storing occurrence information when abnormality occurs in the projector in a small storage area.SOLUTION: A control method for a projector includes: a step S203 of acquiring abnormality occurrence information 211 of storage means 21; and a step S208 of setting present time to second occurrence time and recording a number of times of occurrence in which the same abnormality occurs from first occurrence time to second occurrence time in the abnormality occurrence information 211 acquired when elapsed time from the first occurrence time of the abnormality occurrence information 211 acquired is within predetermined time T1 (step S204:Y) and abnormality is the same abnormality type (step S205:Y). |
