PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading device capable of determining whether or not a saddle-stitched document is a spread document even when the document has a small number of pages, an image forming apparatus, an image reading program, and an image reading method.SOLUTION: An image reading device according to the present invention detects line images in a main-scanning direction included in either one or both of end parts in a sub-scanning direction of image data that is read from a document placed on a document platen (step S13 to S16), determines, when the line images are detected in the number equal to or more than a preset number (Yes side in step S17), that the document is a spread document including two pages of documents (step S18), and applies image processing different by each page (step S23). |
