An optical transceiving device and method. The device comprises: an optical time domain reflectometer (OTDR) transmitting end (1), an OTDR receiving end (2), a light input interface (3), a light output interface (4), a tube body (5), a beamsplitter (6) and a sideband filter plate (7). The function of OTDR detection light signal transmission and reception is obtained, and the function of multiplexing/demultiplexing a detection light signal and a service light signal is supported, thereby ensuring that the transmission of a service light signal and that of a detection light signal on a main optical path do not interfere one another. The device can be used as an important component of an optical module to be integrated on optical transmission system equipment, so that the OTDR detection function can be built into the system, reducing the operation and maintenance costs of optical fiber fault detection. |
