The transducer has a diaphragm (10), and a voice coil in which a voice coil section (12) is attached to the diaphragm. The diaphragm comprises a portion (11) that is arranged inside of the voice coil section, and another portion (13) that is arranged between the voice coil section and an edge (14) of the diaphragm. The membrane has a set of stiffening portions (21) in a region of the latter portion, where the set of stiffening portions has stiffness that is different from stiffness of the latter portion.
