摘要 A solid oxide fuel cell device (200) comprising an elongate tube having an exterior circumferential surface, an interior circumferential surface, and interior structure therebetween, and having a tube length defined between a first tube end and an opposing second tube end, a first inactive cold end region adjacent the first tube end, a second inactive cold end region adjacent the second tube end, and an active reaction zone between the first and second inactive cold end regions, a fuel inlet (12) in the first inactive cold end region and a respective fuel outlet (16) in the active reaction zone and coupled therebetween by an elongate fuel passage (14), an oxidizer inlet (18) in the second inactive cold end region and a respective oxidizer outlet (22) in the active reaction zone and coupled therebetween by an elongate oxidizer passage (20), an anode (24) adjacent the elongate fuel passage (14) and a cathode (26) adjacent the elongate oxidizer passage (20) in the active reaction zone, the anode (24) and cathode (26) being positioned in opposing relation to each other with a solid electrolyte therebetween, characterized in that the elongate tube is a spiral-rolled ceramic tube; in that the first and second inactive cold end regions are configured to remain at a low temperature below the operating reaction temperature when the active reaction zone is heated; in that the elongate fuel and oxidizer passages (14, 20) extend through the active reaction zone in parallel and opposing relation within the interior structure in a circumferential direction to respective fuel and oxidizer outlet (16, 22) and the anode (24), cathode (26) and solid electrolyte are positioned within the interior structure; and in that the anode (24) and cathode (26) are each electrically coupled to respective first and second exterior contact surfaces (44) in at least one of the first and second inactive cold end regions (30).
