Disclosed are a safety display device for a vehicle and a display method thereof for effectively obtaining the safety of a vehicle in an accident and enabling the reduction of a secondary accident. According to the disclosed safety display device for a vehicle and the display method thereof, a driver of an accident vehicle can rapidly obtain the backward safety distance of the accident vehicle by projecting beams backward to display a safety tripod without getting off the accident vehicle, and the safety of the accident vehicle can be effectively secured and a secondary accident can be prevented by giving an alarm to the drivers of the accident vehicle and following vehicles when the vehicles enter the safety distance displayed by the beams.
