This polyarylate resin contains a bisphenol residue represented by general formula (1), and an aromatic dicarboxylic acid residue represented by general formula (2). In formula (1): R1 and R2 represent, independently, a hydrocarbon group with one to six carbons, an alkyl halide group or a halogen atom; p and q represent, independently, an integer from zero to four; and X represents a divalent radical containing a fluorine atom. In formula (2): R3 and R4 represent, independently, a hydrocarbon with one to six carbons, an alkyl halide group or a halogen atom; and r and s represent, independently, an integer from zero to four. |
