<p>Provided is a banknote processing device that is provided with: a first withdrawal aperture and a second withdrawal aperture at which banknotes to be withdrawn are accumulated; a conveyance unit that conveys banknotes to the first withdrawal aperture or the second withdrawal aperture; a first opening/closing member that can open/close the first withdrawal aperture by means of moving; a second opening/closing member that can open/close the second withdrawal aperture by means of moving; and a control unit that controls the conveyance of the banknotes by the conveyance unit and the opening/closing operation of the first opening/closing member and the second opening/closing member. When the number of accumulated sheets of banknotes at the first withdrawal aperture has reached a maximum number of accumulated sheets during a withdrawal process, the control unit performs a switching operation that switches the conveyance destination of the banknotes from the first withdrawal aperture to the second withdrawal aperture, and performs an opening operation that opens the first opening/closing member.</p> |
