PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of an anti-glare film by which a surface shape of an anti-glare film can be freely controlled in a wide range.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an anti-glare film includes the steps of coating a coating liquid on at least one surface of a translucent base material 20, and hardening the coating liquid to form an anti-glare layer. The coating liquid used includes resin, particles 12, and a solvent; and the manufacturing method further includes a shearing step of causing shear on the coating liquid coated on the translucent base material 20. In the shearing step, a shear distance of the coating defined by the following formula (I) is adjusted so as to adjust a surface shape of the anti-glare film.
