PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a time information acquisition device and an electronic clock, in which time information can be obtained without deteriorating accuracy of time information, nor elongating time required for acquiring the time information.SOLUTION: A time information acquisition device includes: receiving means for receiving electromagnetic wave and demodulating a signal; code identification means for identifying a code string indicative of time information out of a signal; decoding means for acquiring time information out of the signal string; and consistency confirmation means for confirming consistency of time information related to a plurality of code strings. At least one of the plurality of code strings is a selected code string generated from a prescribed number of code strings; and the consistency confirmation means identifies a preset code string part containing a code changeable between code strings on the basis of a coincidence degree with a model code string, and selects, as to a part obtained by excluding the preset code string part, a type of a code by respectively by means of multiple choice among a prescribed number of codes identified at the same position, to thereby generate a selected code string. |
