METHOD FOR PRODUCING DISSOLVING KRAFT PULP

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for efficiently producing dissolving kraft pulp having a high α-cellulose content.SOLUTION: A method for producing dissolving kraft pulp comprises the steps of: kraft digesting wood chips which have been treated with pre-hydrolysis; providing the digested pulp with an oxygen delignification treatment; and subjecting the oxygen delignified dissolving kraft pulp to alkali refining. In the alkali refining step, the pulp is treated with an aqueous sodium hydroxide with a concentration of 3 to 25 mass% at 20 to 50°C for 10 to 60 minutes.
