A proximity detection unit outputs a proximity detection signal on detecting proximity of a finger with respect to a screen. The proximity detection unit outputs a proximity detection signal on detecting contact of the finger with the screen. The display control section performs display in magnified fashion over a prescribed range centred on a position corresponding to proximity, which is a position on the screen corresponding to the finger whose proximity was detected. In addition, the display control section fixes the magnified display of the prescribed range based on a contact detection signal responsive to a contact action of the finger in the prescribed range, and does not alter the position of display of the prescribed range displayed in magnified fashion in response to actions of movement of the finger over the screen. |
