The invention relates to a method and an inverter (2) for feeding power from photovoltaic modules (3) into a supply network (10), wherein direct current voltage generated by the photovoltaic modules (3) is converted in the inverter (2) having a chopper (4) with semiconductor switches (7), a control device (8) and a network frequency transformer (6) into alternating current voltage and the inverter (2) is connected to the supply network (10) via a controllable switching device (9) in a feed operation. According to the invention, in order to prevent burdening the supply network (10) when switching to the feed operation, a loading process is performed before the feed operation with a deactivated switching device (9), during which the network frequency transformer (6) is loaded via the direct current voltage of the photovoltaic modules (3), and the controllable switching device (9) is closed if the feed criterion, according to which the current values of the amplitude or phase and amplitude of the alternating current voltage on the secondary side of the network frequency transformer (6) substantially correspond to the amplitude or phase and amplitude of the voltage of the supply network (10), is fulfilled. |
