摘要 - 16 Abstract The invention is directed to an apparatus and a method for identifying and documenting at least one object (8) driving through a measurement field (5). The apparatus includes a radiation-measuring sensor (1) and two cameras (2) (3) which are arranged relative to one another such that the sensor radiation field (1.4) and the two object fields (2.3), (3.3) form a common overlapping area which determines the measurement field (5). In carrying out the method according to the invention, sensor position data are obtained by means of the sensor (1) at measuring times (1) and image recordings are made by the cameras (2), (3) at triggering times, the camera position data being calculated from the picture data of these image recordings. The sensor position data and the camera position data are compared with one another and checked for plausibility. In case of plausibility, the object (8) is securely identified.
