PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two-stage compressor reduced in size and weight.SOLUTION: The two-stage compressor has an oscillation type piston 3 reciprocated while oscillated to a one stage-side cylinder 2, an oscillation type piston 5 reciprocated while oscillated to a two stage-side cylinder 4, an outer rotor-type brushless DC motor 7 for driving the pistons, and a motor shaft 8 rotated integrally with the outer rotor 74. As both of one stage-side and two stage-side pistons are composed of the oscillation type pistons, an inner diameter of the cylinder can be reduced, as a result, the two stage-type compressor can be reduced in size and weight. The lowering of workload due to reduction of the inner diameter of the cylinder can be compensated by using the outer rotor-type DC motor, and compressing performance equal to or higher than that of a conventional device can be ensured. Further by applying the oscillation type pistons in both of the one stage-side and two stage-side, the piston can be reduced in weight, as a result, torque fluctuation is decreased, and flywheel effect by the outer rotor is increased. |
