摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of positioning an optical waveguide that can accurately and efficiently position the optical waveguide at an optical connector, and a method of manufacturing an optical wiring component that can efficiently manufacture the optical wiring component having accurate position relation between the optical connector and the optical waveguide.SOLUTION: When a layered optical waveguide 3 is inserted into a housing part 52 of an optical connector 5, two main surfaces of the optical waveguide 3 are brought into slide contact with an inner surface of the housing part 52 to adjust the position of the optical waveguide 3 in a Z direction. The position of the optical waveguide 3 in an X direction is so adjusted that the optical connector 5 and the optical waveguide 3 satisfy predetermined position relation when viewed from an end face side of the optical waveguide 3. The predetermined position relation is that, for example, when a tip 506 of the optical connector 5 is viewed, a middle point M1 of a segment S1 connecting the centers of guide holes 508 meets a middle point M2 of a segment S2 connecting the center of a core part 41a and the center of a core part 41b.
