PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reliable and secure updating method for software of a secure element.SOLUTION: A boot program 38 includes an instruction for performing the following when executed by a microprocessor 31: a startup step in which whether a non-volatile memory 34 stores an active operating system 35 is determined and, if the determination is affirmative, execution of the operating system 35 is started; an authentication step in which an updater device 10 is authenticated according to first authentication data that is determined by a secure element 30 and second authentication data that is received from the updater device 10; a storage step in which in response to the authentication step, a new operating system that is received from the updater device 10 is stored in the non-volatile memory 34; and an activation step in which the new operating system is activated. |
