PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power conversion system, which have switching circuits with a plurality of phases, capable of achieving such a configuration that more effective power conversion is performed even under a light load.SOLUTION: The electric power conversion system (1) includes: a power converter (10) that converts input power to output power on the basis of a current command value input from the outside and a controller (30) that controls operations of the power converter (10). The power converter (10) has switching circuits (21-24) with a plurality of phases, connected in parallel to each other. The controller (30) switches the switching circuits (21-24) with the plurality of phases so that phases of output currents of the respective phases are different from each other and stops at least a part of the switching operations of the switching circuits (21-24) with the plurality of phases according to a decrease in the current command value.
