PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detection system and a vending machine including the same capable of appropriately performing control of commodity sales promotion and energy conservation in real time by eliminating the detection impossible time and detection impossible area of a detection sensor and ensuring accuracy of the detection sensor around a wide area.SOLUTION: The detection system includes: a detection sensor (38) for detecting the presence of a detection object (56) and outputting a detection signal (58); amplification means (60, 62, 64) for amplifying the detection signal that is output from the detection sensor with different amplification factors and outputting a plurality of different amplification signals (66, 68, 70); and control means (50) for determining the presence of the detection object on the basis of respective amplification signals that have been output from the plurality of amplification means. |
