A disposable absorbent product (10) extends longitudinally along a longitudinal axis (10y) and laterally along a transverse axis (10x), with the transverse axis (10x) conceptually dividing the product into first and second hemispheres (17, 19). The product (10) has a permeable topsheet (12), an impermeable backsheet (14) overlaying the topsheet (12), and an absorbent core (18) disposed between the topsheet (12) and the backsheet (14) for storing fluid secreted by the wearer of the disposable absorbent product (10). Each of a pair of side regions (35, 36) extends laterally outboard of the absorbent core (16), with each side region (35, 36) having a first face (IF, EF) configured to face the wearer during use and a second face (EF, IF) opposite the first face (IF, EF). The product also has at least one skin-friendly adhesive element (50) in the first hemisphere (17, 19) in at least one of the side regions {35, 36) for temporarily attaching the disposable absorbent product (10) to the skin of the wearer. |
