PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthetic resin square container capable of sufficiently exhibiting a pressure reduction absorbing function while securing rigidity or buckling strength of a container even though it has a thin thickness in a comparatively compact synthetic resin square container having a pressure reduction absorbing panel, and to create a method for manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: There is provided a synthetic resin square container which comprises: a body part (4) formed of four side walls (5); a cylindrical mouth (2) erected via a taper cylindrical shoulder part (3) on the body part (4); and a pressure reduction absorbing panel (10) formed over substantially the entire height range of the body part (4) on a pair of opposite first side walls (5A) of the four side walls (5), wherein protruding ribs (13) having a rising wall surface (14) from the first side wall (5A) to the inside of the container are formed in the outer periphery of the pressure reduction absorbing panel (10). |
