A liquid crystal display device and a method for manufacturing the same are provided to improve the transmittance rate by piling edge of a pixel electrode and a common electrode to the opaque common line. A gate line(102) and a data line(104) are crossed each other and defines the cell region. A thin film transistor is connected with the gate line and the data line(106). Opaque common lines(116a,116b) are formed parallelly along the gate line, and receives common voltage. A plurality of transparent common electrodes(118) are connected to the opaque common line and is extended toward the cell region. A plurality of transparent pixel electrodes(114) are connected to the thin film transistor and is extended toward the cell region and is by turns arranged to the transparent common electrode in the cell region. |
