Apparatus (2) comprising sheet material and decoration, which apparatus (2) comprises: (i) a first sheet (4) of toughened glass; (ii) a second sheet (6) of toughened glass; (iii) spacer strips (8) which space the first and second sheets (4, 6) away from each other; (iv) a void (10) formed between the first and second sheets (4, 6) and the spacer strips (8); and (v) at least one object (12) which is in the void and which provides the apparatus (2) with a decorative appearance; and the apparatus (2) being such that ; (vi) the first and second sheets (4, 6) have been produced by firstly being cut to size, and then secondly being toughened; and (vii) the apparatus (2) has the appearance of a solid piece of glass. A method of producing the apparatus 2 is also disclosed. The apparatus may include a third sheet of toughened glass so that it is triple-glazed, and with at least one of the objects positioned in a void between the third sheet and first or second sheets. |
