PURPOSE: An active guard fence is provided to improve passenger protection performance and intensity performance by actively responding to various conditions of vehicle collisions. CONSTITUTION: An active guard fence (100) comprises a post (110), a guardrail (120), a piezoelectric element (130), a magnetorheological fluid (140), and a magnetic field generating unit (150). The piezoelectric element is installed in the guardrail to generate electricity by direct impact or buckling. The magnetorheological fluid is equipped inside the post to integrally move with the post. The magnetic field generating unit applies a magnetic field to the magnetorheological fluid using the electricity generated in the piezoelectric element. |
