The dispensing station (1) has several rails (4) connected to collecting unit (5), which are successively arranged on reciprocally stacked trolley (2). The bottom guide units (7) are provided for guiding rollers (3) on trolley. The driven conveyors (8) are arranged on rail. A rigid unit (10) is provided below the conveyor. The rigid unit and conveyor are connected together so that an inserted carriage is conveyed by conveyors in series of additional stacked carriage. An independent claim is included for method for operating dispensing station.
