1349839 Bolt fastenings J H BIERLICH 8 June 1971 [9 June 1970] 27966/70 Heading E2A A door or window fastening comprises corner bolts 9, 10 and 24, 25 lying in grooves in three sides of the window and operated by a linkage by a rotary handle-operated crank 6. The lower bolts 9, 10 are operated by links 11, 12 connected by pins 15, 16 and 22, 22 to the bolts and to further links 17, 18 connected to the crank. As shown, the links 11, 12 have notches to receive the pins, but holes may be used. Additional links 38, 39 connect the bolts to similar linkages which operate the top bolts 24, 25, or, as shown in Fig. 3, the movement may be transmitted by a flexible cable 59 attached at 61 to the bolt 55. |
