PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal capable of preventing energization failure when thermocompression-bonding a plurality of conductors coated with an insulation material and having a pair of approximately parallel overlapping surfaces and a pair of end surfaces to a terminal tool, and to provide a method for manufacturing the terminal. SOLUTION: A terminal has a pair of approximately parallel overlapping surfaces 10 and a pair of end surfaces 11, and is formed by thermo-compression bonding a conductor 2 with a periphery coated with an insulation material, and a terminal tool for housing a plurality of conductors 2. The terminal tool has a pair of approximately parallel inner wall surface 20 and 21; the conductor 2 is obliquely disposed so that the overlapping surfaces 10 form a predetermined angle to the inner wall surfaces 20 and 21 of the terminal tool; and an insulation material derivation space part 22 is formed in a space between the inner wall surfaces 20 and 21 of the terminal tool, the overlapping surfaces of the conductor 2, and the end surfaces of the conductor 2 adjacent to the conductor 2.
