<p>Cellular PVC products are made by heating under pressure a mixt. of chemically crosslinkable PVC copolymer and a blowing agent in a mould to decompose the blowing agent and effect cross-linking, and then freely heating the solid product to cause expansion. The product is used for interior lining in motor vehicles and as insulating panels in the building industry. It has a fine and regular structure, a smooth, non-fragile skin, good heat and flame resistance and its density and flexibility can be adjusted by varying its compn.</p> |
