The present invention relates to a transmission arrangement for connecting subscriber devices through a loop plant (1). In accordance with an embodiment of the invention, the transmission arrangement comprises first and second transmitters (TU1, TUN) for transmitting communication signals over first and second subscriber lines (L1, LN) respectively, which loop plant comprising a first non-interfering section (T2) wherein the first and second transmission lines follow different routes with low crosstalk coupling, followed by a second interfering section (T3) wherein the first and second transmission lines follow a common route with substantially-higher crosstalk coupling. The transmission arrangement further comprises a determination unit (151) for determining a group delay difference (AGD_T2) between the first and second subscriber lines over the first non-interfering section, and a delay unit (111) for delaying first and second communication signals transmitted over the first and second subscriber lines with respect to each other by a time amount (d1) that compensates for the group delay difference.
