The invention relates to a method for operating an M2M module (M) in a network environment. In this case, the M2M module (M) is provided in a device (G) for the purpose of operating the latter, which involves the M2M module (M) being registered by virtue of a user (N) transmitting an identification information item (ID, PSK) associated with the M2M module (M) together with a user address (EA) for the user (N) to a registration centre (NB). Furthermore, provision is made for communication that relates to the M2M module to be effected exclusively by the registration centre (NB), which forwards messages received from the M2M module to the user address (EA), and vice versa. |
