PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine capable of reducing the load for random number determination processing. SOLUTION: The game machine includes a control means (micro computer 111 for a game) integrally controlling the game, and generates a special game state advantageous for a player. The control means includes a random number updating means (CPU 111A) updating a variation pattern random number 1 for deciding a ready-to-win variation mode in a ready-to-win state out of various random numbers extracted based on entries of game balls into a first start winning port and a second start winning port. The variation pattern random number 1 consists of two bytes and is related to a decision whether to generate the ready-to-win state and a decision of the ready-to-win variation mode in a special symbol variable display game when generating the ready-to-win state. The random number updating means executes updating by adding a prescribed first additional value when updating an upper one byte of the variation pattern random number 1, and executes updating by adding a second additional value the assignable range of which is narrower than the first additional value when updating a lower one byte.
