PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoration sample which can raise the degree of selection purchase, sales promotion, advertising effect, attention or the like of a merchandize vended by a vending machine. SOLUTION: The surface of a sample object 2 of a decoration sample 1 mounted on a sample display portion Aa of a vending machine A includes a sample portion 4 formed as a longitudinal half-split can shape which corresponds to half the front side of the merchandize vended by the vending machine A. The surface of the sample object 2 and/or the sample portion 4 has a decoration portion 8 formed for sterically producing a first pattern 10a and a second pattern 10b of a pattern layer 10 which is printed on the sample object 2 and/or sample portion 4. Between dense area set on surface of one-end side of the sample object 2 and roughness area set on surface of the other-end side, not only pattern density and color shading vary, but also moire pattern of gradation in which interval between patterns varies is produced.
