It is adapted for taking measurements from a scaled drawing that was created in one size but has been reproduced in a different size for example by printing on different sized paper. Ideally, the linear scales are adapted for taking measurements from a scaled drawing created in Al to A3 size but reproduced in A3 to A4 size. |
