Foundry sand-resin-catalyst mixer-with contrarotating blades

Foundry sand mould employing a sand, resin, catalyst mix is formed by first preparing separate sand/resin and sand/catalyst mixtures, which are then fed into a high speed blade type mixer, which mixes them together and propels the final mix directly into the mould. The blade mixer consists of two contra rotating blade wheels with interlocking blades rotating at 600 m/min. The plant effects very quick processing of the ready mixed sand mixture, which hardens rapidly.
