Control device for exerting a pressure on a - continuously moving strip

Device applies a controlled pressure on part of a surface of a rigid material strip in continuous movement. It pushes the opposite side of the strip against the tools of a treatment apparatus. The device comprises blocks of adjustable weight whose face against the strip has components permitting a gas under pressure to form a cushion which presents the direct contact between the strip and the blocks.
