The present invention relates to a touch panel input device and a driving method thereof improving the accuracy of a touch by reducing the influence of noises. The touch panel input device of the present invention comprises a touch panel which is formed in a display part receiving a data signal in response to a scanning signal for displaying images and includes multiple driving and sensing lines crossing each other; a driving signal supplying part generating the driving signal, which has a driving frequency different from that of the scanning signal of the display part for supplying the same to the multiple driving lines; and a sensing part grasping information on a touch point of the display part by receiving the sensing signal through the multiple sensing lines in response to the touch input on the display part and the driving signal.
