An apparatus for connecting tubular includes a first tubular 202 with a section 204 for receiving a second tubular where the second tubular is expanded into contact with the first tubular 202 to form a connection. The first tubular 202 has a number of annular members 206 which define annular regions of differing resistance so that upon expansion of the second tubular a connection is formed. The resultant recesses 211 between the annular members may include fluid exclusion material 208 such as foam, or a valve 220. |
