<p>A stall (1) for domestic animals, preferably sows. The stall comprises a front gate (2) and a feeding trough (3) in the front end (4) of the stall (1) and a rear gate (5) at the rear end of the stall (6). The front gate (2) is suspended so that it can pivot about a first axis (7) and arranged to prevent access by the animal to the feeding trough (3) if the front gate is in a closed state. The stall comprises a displacable connection device (9) connecting the front gate (2) with the rear gate (5) such that opening, respectively closing, of the one gate forces the other gate to close, respectively open. The connection device (9) comprises an elastic element (17) for elastic change ofthe length of the connection device (9).
