1353915 Antiperspirants PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 30 July 1971 [30 July 1970 2 April 1971] 35940/71 Heading A5B [Also in Division C4] An antiperspirant complex is obtained by dissolving in water a) 1 part by weight Al 2 (OH) 6-m X m (where X is Cl-, Br- or I- and m has an average value of from 0.8 to 1.2, b) 0.16 to 1.2 parts ZrO(OH)Cl or ZrOCl 2 and, c) 0.06 to 0.53 parts of glycine, dl-tryptophane, dl-#-phenylalanine, dl-valine, dl-metlhionine or #-alanine, drying the resultant at 100 to 230‹ to a moisture level of 0.5-15% by weight and comminuting to an impalpable powder. The resultant can be utilized in aerosol preparations comprising: 1-12% by weight of the powder; 0.1-5% of a suspending agent, e.g. fine silica or a synthetic clay or a fatty amine; 1-15% of a carrier liquid, e.g. isopropyl myristate or palmistate, di-n-butyl phthalate or diisopropyl adipate, and an anhydrous gaseous propellant. Minor quantities of antibacterial agents and perfumes may also be present.
