The insert (1) has a rectilinear locking element (5) and a rectilinear extracting element (6) connected together by fractional connectors (7). Each element comprises longitudinal protruding portions (15, 16) opposite to one another. The portions include inclined sliding ramps (17, 18) opposite to one another. The locking element is moved laterally along a direction of a median groove by lateral pushing of the extracting element until being engaged in the groove so as to vertically block a junction between successive strips made of a composite material.
