PURPOSE: A novel SNP marker for early selecting pigs with preferable parts of high content and a method using the same are provided to early select breeding pigs. CONSTITUTION: A method for evaluating economic characters of pigs comprises a step of selecting a pig that SNP locus of serial number 3 is CT, SNP locus of serial number 13 is CT, SNP locus of serial number 15 is AA or GG, SNP locus of serial number 16 is GG, or SNP locus of serial number 17 is GG; and a step of determining the pig which has high quality as one which corresponds to many loci. |
